NEW TO COLLEGE TEACHING

For those faculty who have not taught or taught college before, the path to successfully preparing for and managing classes, connecting with students, and navigating NCCU regulations and protocols can be daunting. The first step should be to connect with an experienced faculty member in your department who can be an advisor, a sounding board, and a mentor as you define your individual path. While The Center will strive to provide materials relevant to instruction and learning in general, your departmental office is also very likely to have a library of discipline-specific multimedia resources to share among its faculty.

Workshops, e-publications, and printed pamphlets designed to offer additional methods, strategies and technologies for the instructional tasks you face will be offered here, in addition to links to websites and newsletters that focus on ways to enhance the learning experience for you and your students.
