This specialization provides the student with the background necessary for more advance studies in exercise physiology as well as providing expertise for career development in fitness and related fields. Students are provided with academic and practical experiences in the exercise field. A culminating activity of an internship, a practical work experience at an approved site with expert supervision is included.

Licensure and certification requirements are left to the discretion of individual hiring agencies, however, a degree in Exercise Sport Science will prepare the students for certification/licensure.

Practical and Internship experience is a requisite toward completing your degree. Internships typically last an entire semester.

You can expect to complete your degree in four years, or 128 credit hours.
