     NCCU TAKES TWO FROM BETHUNE-COOKMAN

DURHAM, NC - The Eagles of North Carolina Central again defeated the Wildcats of Bethune-Cookman University 3-0 (30-25, 30-28, 33-31). 

In the first game the Eagles controlled the tempo of the game.  NCCU climbed back after being down 12-17.  The Eagles tied the game 20-20 with a kill from Anielle DaSilva, and took the win 30-25.

The Eagles won game 3 as the Wildcats took them to the limit, but the NCCU fought off a pesky Wildcat team.  The Eagles were up 29-27, but errors cost them to go beyond 30 points and came away with a 33-31 victory. 

Shari Matthews had an outstanding game as she had 22 kills in the game as teammate Aneille DaSilva, contributed with 12 kills along with 14 digs. 

Shari Matthews and Aneille DaSilva both earned All-Tournament team honors.   NCCU record is now 7-5.
