BRITE
At North Carolina Central University, we’ve developed the Biomanufacturing Research Institute and Technology Enterprise (BRITE) Center of Excellence to propel the science of biotechnology in new and innovative directions. A $19 million facility funded by the Golden LEAF Foundation will offer students research, educational opportunities and training in biotechnology and biomanufacturing at the B.S. level and, eventually the M.S. and Ph.D. levels.

When you enter the BRITE program at NCCU, you’ll take courses in microbiology, cell and molecular biology, biochemistry and more. During your senior year at NCCU, you’ll prepare for life beyond college by working on specific laboratory projects that simulate the work environment of the biomanufacturing industry.

Through our program, you can secure positions as associate scientists and research scientists in the industry with salaries ranging from $35,000 to $70,000.

We are enrolling freshman and community college transfer students for fall 2006. For details about full scholarships offered for BRITE, please visit www.nccu.edu/BRITE. Enroll today!
