Dear Friend of NCCU Athletics: It is my goal to make North Carolina Central University the jewel of the CIAA. The NCCU Department of Athletics seeks to foster the academic accomplishments of NCCU by attracting and retaining students who will add their talent and character to the University. Student-athletes will be given the opportunity to participate in athletic and recreational programs while achieving academic success. The Department's activities will reflect a commitment to the University's educational mission of preparing students academically, professionally, and socially. Through fund-raising initiatives, the $1,000 Eagle Campaign is a campaign to raise $1 million to fund student-athlete scholarships. NCCU seeks to achieve and sustain excellence in intercollegiate athletics. With your support, we can ensure that student athletes receive the best possible educational experience that will last a lifetime. Please help us continue to soar to new heights by making an investment in the future of our student-athletes. Remember: "The EAGLE is no common ordinary barnyard fowl." Yours in truth and service, William "Bill" Hayes
