Dear Friend of NCCU Athletics:

It is my goal to make North Carolina Central University the jewel of the CIAA.  The NCCU Department of Athletics seeks to foster the academic accomplishments of NCCU by attracting and retaining students who will add their talent and character to the University.

Student-athletes will be given the opportunity to participate in athletic and recreational programs while achieving academic success.  The Department's activities will reflect a commitment to the University's educational mission of preparing students academically, professionally, and socially.

Through fund-raising initiatives, the $1,000 Eagle Campaign is a campaign to raise $1 million to fund student-athlete scholarships.  NCCU seeks to achieve and sustain excellence in intercollegiate athletics.  With your support, we can ensure that student athletes receive the best possible educational experience that will last a lifetime.

Please help us continue to soar to new heights by making an investment in the future of our student-athletes.

Remember: "The EAGLE is no common ordinary barnyard fowl."

Yours in truth and service,

William "Bill" Hayes
Director of Athletics
NCCU Class of 1965

Flexibility of Giving...

Donors may make a one-time gift or choose to divide their contributions into several payments in order to reach the $1,000 minimum.  Supporters may contribute to one or a combination of the following areas:

· The Department of Athletics;
· Athletic Organizations, such as the Friends of Lady Eagles or the Quarterback Club;
· Sponsor a team (football, basketball, softball, tennis, track, golf, volleyball, bowling, etc.);

Becoming a $1,000 Eagles donor entitles you to the following:

· Recognition on our $1,000 Eagles billboards in football stadium and basketball gymnasium
· Recognition in both football and basketball game programs
· Recognition at our Annual Athletics Banquet
· $1,000 Eagles lapel pin presented at the first home football game or a home basketball game
· Recognition as a $1,000 Eagles donor on the official NCCU Athletics web site

Ways to Give to NCCU Athletics...

Cash, Check and Credit Card Donations: The easiest and most direct way to give.

Matching Gifts: Corporations match their employees' gifts up to a certain amount.  Please check with your employer in regards to participation.

Endowments and Memorial Gifts: Make a lasting donation in memory of an individual or organization.

Bequest/Life Insurance/Trusts: These are deferred gifts that offer substantial tax advantages and financial benefits that allow donors to make large gifts at a low cost.

For more information, please contact (919) 530-7057

* Benefits for giving to NCCU Athletics Department are awarded on an annual basis only.
* Membership will not become active until full $1,000 donation has been received.
