NCCU Wins Season-Opening Women's Bowling Event 

     FAYETTEVILLE, NC - North Carolina Central University, the reigning women's bowling conference champions, captured 33 of a possible 36 points to finish in first place at the season-opening CIAA Western Division event from Oct. 4-6 at Lafayette Lanes in Fayetteville, NC.
     The Lady Eagles completed the weekend with a 9-1 record, suffering their lone setback versus Saint Augustine's on Saturday. 
     LaKrystal Horne topped NCCU with a 163.7 average in 10 games, including a 203 game - the fifth-best score of the event. Pheshetta Johnson averaged 160.6 a game for the Lady Eagles, including games of 202 and 200.
