NCCU WOMEN'S BOWLING PLACES SECOND AT CIAA WEST TOURNAMENT

Game
DURHAM, NC (October 15, 2001) Fayetteville
State University went undefeated in match play to win its second consecutive
women's bowling tournament between CIAA Western Division opponents at the
AMF Lanes in Durham, NC.
During the two-day tournament, the Lady Broncos
were a perfect 10-0 against their divisional foes. North Carolina Central
University, who placed behind Fayetteville State in last weekend's event,
repeated as the second place finisher and boasted a 7-3 record in match
play.
Johnson C. Smith University captured third
place after finishing in last place a week ago.
Winston-Salem State's Portia Mitchell
rolled the first 200-game in CIAA Western Division competition with a 214.
Later in the day, Mitchell's score was topped by NeClea Coleman
of N.C. Central with a 222. FSU's Jennifer Allen also bowled a 200.

3rd Place - Johnson C. Smith (14 points)
4th Place - Livingstone (13 points)
5th Place - Saint Augustine's (12 points)
6th Place - Winston-Salem State (11 points)
