     PINEHURST, N.C. -- The North Carolina Central University men's golf team had to settle for a ninth place finish after the second day of competition at the St. Andrews Spring Invitational at the Woodlake Resort and Country Club in Pinehurst, N.C. was washed out due to wet weather.
     Event officials ruled that the day one results would be final, leaving the Eagles in ninth place with a total of 335. Individually, Brian Demby was the top Eagle finisher in a tie for 28th place with a score of 81 (43-38), followed by Steve Wright in 32nd place with an 82 (41-41). Mark Clayton and Chris Winters each shot an 86 for NCCU.
