NCCU'S PETE HAYES VOTED CIAA GOLF COACH OF THE YEAR

Pete Hayes     HAMPTON, VA - North Carolina Central University head men's golf coach Pete Hayes has been voted as the 2004 CIAA Men's Golf Coach of the Year, the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association announced today (May 6).
     The NCCU men's golf team placed second to Fayetteville State at the 2004 CIAA Golf Championships, marking the Eagles best conference tournament finish since starting the program in 2000. 
     NCCU won two of its six events during the 2004 campaign, along with three second place performances.
