NCCU Golfer Levister Second After First Round

     PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - North Carolina Central University freshman Jameshia Levister finished the first round of the National Minority College Golf Championship in second place after shooting a 74 (37-37) on the 6,488-yard, par-72 North Course at the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
     A native of Ocala, Fla., Levister's score on Friday was an individual best this season, bettering her previous top score by six strokes (80 on March 12 in Charlotte, NC).
     Fellow Eagle Merve Heggins matched a season-best score by shooting an 84 (40-44), and is currently tied for 17th place.
     Two more rounds of play will be held on Saturday and Sunday (May 12-13) to determine team and individual champions.
