NCCU Golfer Levister Third After Second Round

     PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - North Carolina Central University freshman Jameshia Levister is in third place in the women's individual medalist race after two rounds of the 15th National Minority College Golf Championship.
     Levister shot an 83 Saturday on the 6,488-yard, par-72 North Course at the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Her two-day total of 157 trails only Julia Walsh (80-75=155) and leader Caroline Pehrson (70-77=147), both of Bethune-Cookman College.
     A native of Ocala, Fla., Levister's score of 74 on Friday was an individual best this season, bettering her previous top score by six strokes (80 on March 12 in Charlotte, NC).
     Fellow Eagle Merve Heggins shot a 90 in the second round for a two-day total of 174.
     The 15th National Minority College Golf Championship concludes Sunday.
