NCCU's Glosova Earns Academic All-District Honors

     (WILLIAMSPORT, PA - May 23, 2002)  North Carolina Central University senior Katerina Glosova has been voted to the 2002 Verizon Academic All-District III College Division Women's Track and Field/Cross Country Team, as chosen by CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America).
     A native of Cernotin, Czech Republic, Glosova has earned a 3.970 overall grade point average with a major of Hospitality and Tourism. 
     During the 2001-02 athletic campaign, Glosova won her third consecutive CIAA Cross Country Championship and captured six individual conference titles during the indoor and outdoor track seasons. She also claimed honors as a National Champion by winning the 800-meter run at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships. 
     Glosova was also recently named the 2002 CIAA Female Scholar Athlete of the Year.
