NCCU'S KNIGHT EARNS CIAA ALL-ROOKIE TEAM HONORS

     RALEIGH, NC -- North Carolina Central University freshman guard Curtis Knight has been selected to the 2002 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association All-Rookie Team, as chosen by the CIAA Sports Information Directors Association.
     Knight, a 6-3 native of Greenville, NC, currently leads the Eagles with 324 points (13.5 ppg), and is second on the team in assists (45) and steals (38). 
     He was named CIAA Rookie of the Week on Nov. 25 after scoring a season-high 30 points to lead the Eagles to victory over Kentucky State, the defending SIAC Champions. 
     Knight led the team in scoring the first six games of the season while the top returning scorer was out with an injury. He has scored in every game this season for the Eagles, including five contests with 20 points or more and 16 double-figure performances.
