Five Eagles Score Double Figures
SALISBURY, NC -- Five North Carolina Central University
men's basketball players scored double figures to pace the Eagles past
Livingstone College, 86-74, in Salisbury, NC.
NCCU (13-8) came out on fire, hitting 57 percent
from the field (17-30) and 50 percent from three-point range (7-14) in
the first half to take a 46-34 lead at the break.
Brett Harper topped a balanced Eagle attack
with 18 points, while Jimmy Boston scored 17, Jomo Lyles-Belton
netted 14, and MarQus Johnson and D.J. Ward chipped in 10
points each.
Livingstone (5-16) was led by Rodney Gidney with
a game-high 24 points and 12 rebounds.
