NCCU'S CARTER, NASS CLAIM WEEKLY CONFERENCE TENNIS HONORS

HAMPTON, VA -- North Carolina Central University sophomore Jonathan Carter and head coach David Nass received weekly tennis honors from the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association on Wednesday (April 13).
Carter, a native of Landover, Maryland, was voted as the CIAA Men's Tennis Player of the Week after posting a 5-1 record as a No. 2 and 3 seed during the week of April 4-10. Carter has won five consecutive singles matches and five straight doubles matches with playing partner Joshua Collins.
Nass, now in his ninth season as head men's and women's tennis coach at NCCU, was selected as the CIAA Men's Tennis Coach of the Week after the Eagles posted a 3-3 record last week, including a split with Winston-Salem State and a sweep of Saint Augustine's.
