HOST NCCU WINS FIVE EVENTS IN L.T. WALKER TRACK MEET

     DURHAM, NC -- North Carolina Central University claimed five event championships at the 12th annual LeRoy T. Walker Olympic Development Meet help on the NCCU track & field facility in Durham, NC.
     The NCCU 4x400-meter relay squad (Steven Enoch, Ronnie Pollard, Michel Cunningham, Detric Branch) ended the meet with a victory in one of the closest and most exciting finishes of the day. Four other Eagles placed first in their respective events, including indoor national champion Katerina Glosova in the women's 1500m run (4:46.45), indoor all-American Steven Enoch in the men's triple jump (47' 00.50"), James McDonald in the men's high jump (6' 0"), and Chanda Powell in the women's 100m hurdles (14.58).
     Omar Clinton of the North Carolina Elite Track Club broke the nine-year old meet record in the men's 400m hurdles with a time of 51.88.
