NCCU Student-Athletes Kick Off "Get 60" Program
Twenty North Carolina Central University student-athletes spent the
afternoon with fourth and fifth grade students at the Quality Education
Institute of Durham elementary school on Friday (Feb. 17, 2006) as part
of the opening ceremony of the "Get 60" program, hosted by the NCCU Student-Athlete
Advisory Committee (SAAC). [Full

NCCU Student-Athletes "Bowl for Kids' Sake"
On Saturday, February 7, 2004, NCCU student-athletes participated in
the annual "Bowl for Kids' Sake." With members of SAAC spearheading the
effort, NCCU contributed $500 towards the fundraising campaign to benefit
area youth.
NCCU Student-Athletes Give the Gift of Life
On
Wednesday, January 21, 2004, more than 30 NCCU student-athletes took part
in the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Blood Drive at the Student Union.
The student-athletes volunteered their services, were tested for the sickle
cell trait, were screened as a potential marrow donor, and/or gave blood.
The strong showing by the student-athletes was due to the support of the
NCCU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. [Photos]

The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) of NCCU is sponsoring
a "Cafe Clean-Up" during lunch and dinner on Tuesday, Nov. 13.

8-20, 2001
The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) of NCCU is sponsoring
a clothing drive for the Durham Rescue Mission until Nov. 20th. There are
boxes in the following buildings for drop-off: Eagleson, Baynes,
Latham, New Res I/II, Cafe, Student Union, LT Walker Complex, Communication,
Library, and Annie Day. Pick-up is at 5:00 pm each day.
