LADY EAGLES SOFTBALL SHUTS OUT JCSU, WINS REGULAR SEASON CROWN

CHARLOTTE, NC - North Carolina Central University won two road contests over Johnson C. Smith University 5-0 and 14-0, to finish 20-0 in CIAA play and complete the first undefeated conference regular season in school history.
In the first game of the doubleheader, all-conference hurler Stacey Greene pitched a complete game shutout, while only allowing two hits to the Lady Golden Bulls. Fellow all-conference performer Francheska Pittman provided the offensive punch for NCCU by hitting one home run, scoring two runs, registering two hits and stealing a base.
Game two saw a similar result as CIAA All-Rookie Team member Kristen Schooler pitched five scoreless innings and struck out two batters. NCCU's bats came alive as six starters had two or more hits, including three from sophomore third baseman Sophia Blue.
