     LANDOVER, MD - The North Carolina Central University men's 4x200-meter relay team established a new meet record during the 2006 HBCU Invitational on Feb. 4-5 at the Prince George Sports Complex in Landover, Md.
     The Eagle foursome consisting of Maurice Gailey, Dorian Turner, Jason Jowers and Chris Davis, won the event with a record time of 1 minute, 27.99 seconds, edging second place Saint Augustine's by less than a tenth of a second (1:28.08).
     NCCU senior Sharonda Arnold posted a season-best, NCAA provisional qualifying time in the 400m dash, placing fourth with a time of 56.72 seconds.
     Other top individual finishers were Brian Hope (third in 60m / 6.82), Hakeem Mohammed (third in 400m / 48.80), and Brandon Jones (third in mile run / 4:33.33).
