     CHARLOTTE, NC -- North Carolina Central University's men's relay squads had a big day at the 2005 Charlotte Invitational, hosted by UNC-Charlotte at Irwin Belk Track, as the Eagles won the 4x400-meter relay and placed second in the 4x100m relay.
     The NCCU foursome of Austin-Lamar Hogan, Dorian Turner, Detric Branch and Hakeem Mohammed won the 4x400m relay by posting a time of 3:15.41 and outrunning eight other teams, including second place UNC-Wilmington (3:17.21) and third place Coastal Carolina (3:23.83).
     Maurice Gailey joined Turner, Branch and Mohammed to provide the Eagles second place in the 4x100m relay with a time of 41.55 seconds, finishing behind first place UNC-Charlotte (40.48), but ahead of conference foe Saint Augustine's (41.75) in third place.
     NCCU freshman sprinter Nina Warren had a solid performance by placing fourth in the 200m dash (25.04) and eighth in the 100m dash (12.28).
