     North Carolina Central University placed third in the college men's 4x400-meter relay at the 2004 Penn Relays, finishing ahead of North Carolina A&T and Ohio State.
     The Eagle foursome of Shareef Muhammad, Austin Hogan, Dorian Turner and Hakeem Mohammed posted a time of 3:10.85, less than a half-second behind the winning team from Michigan (3:10.48) and at least a second ahead of fourth and fifth place from North Carolina A&T (3:11.85) and Ohio State (3:12.02).
     NCCU junior Steven Enoch placed 12th in the college men's long jump with a leap of 22 feet, 7.75 inches (6.90 meters).
