WICKER-McCREE EARNS 200TH
WIN AS NCCU DEFEATS LIVINGSTONE
DURHAM, NC - North Carolina Central University head volleyball coach Ingrid
Wicker-McCree captured her 200th victory at NCCU on Tuesday as the
Lady Eagles blanked Livingstone College, 3-0 (30-20, 30-20, 30-16), at
the LeRoy T. Walker Complex in Durham, NC.
Wicker-McCree now owns an overall record of
200-164 in her 11 seasons as the Lady Eagles' head coach, including a 132-42
record in conference play.
NCCU (14-7, 11-0 CIAA) was topped by senior
middle hitter Danielle Johnson-Webb with a match-high 14 kills and
three blocks. Sophomore transfer Latoya Tate contributed six kills,
17 assists, six digs and five service aces, while junior Dorian Mills
added a team-best seven digs.
Livingstone (3-13, 2-9 CIAA) was led by Sherrie
Gillespie with four kills.
NCCU's current 12-match win streak is the
longest since 1998 when the Lady Eagles won 24 matches in a row. The Lady
Eagles are in first place in the CIAA Western Division with an unblemished
11-0 mark.
