    Lady Eagles stumble in CIAA Semifinal, finish season with a 26-8 overall record.  [Results]  Junior Rena Armwood named to 1998 CIAA All-Tournament Team.

   Four Lady Eagles Earn All-Conference Honors ... Davita Watson Named 1998 CIAA Player of the Year !!!  [Story]

   Lady Eagles win CIAA Western Division Championship title for the regular season, and extend win streak to 21 matches. [Story]

   NCCU junior Davita Watson (Ahoskie, NC) is selected as the CIAA Women's Volleyball Player of the Week (Oct. 5-11), while Lady Eagle head coach Ingrid Wicker is named CIAA Coach of the Week. [Story]

   NCCU wins its 20th game of the 1998 season and its 19th in a row, by defeating Barton College, 3-1. [Game Story]

   NCCU women's volleyball defeats Saint Andrews (3-1) and Benedict (3-1) in day two action of the Fayetteville State Invitational to claim its 18th consecutive victory.  Lady Eagle junior Davita Watson was selected Most Valuable Player of the tournament, while senior Toni Douglas earned All-Tournament Team honors.
