NCCU HEAD COACH WICKER-MCCREE, MIDDLE HITTER JOHNSON-WEBB RECEIVE CIAA WEEKLY HONORS

      North Carolina Central University middle hitter Danielle Johnson-Webb has been named CIAA Volleyball Player of the Week. Johnson-Webb, a senior from Chapel Hill, NC, recorded 46 kills and 18 blocks in seven matches from Sept. 12-20. A 2004 First-Team All-CIAA selection, Johnson-Webb recently recorded her 1,000th career kill. This marks the second time Johnson-Webb has won weekly conference honors in the 2005 season.
      NCCU head coach Ingrid Wicker-McCree has been selected CIAA Coach of the Week, as she led the Lady Eagles to a 7-0 record from Sept. 12-20. The Lady Eagles posted a 7-0 record for the week, including a 6-0 at the CIAA Round-Up and earned a divisional win aganist Winston-Salem State University. Wicker-McCree has led NCCU to an undefeated record in CIAA play this season.  This is the second consecutive Coach of the Week award for Wicker-McCree.
     The Lady Eagles next face the Saint Augustine's Falcons Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 6 p.m. in McLendon-McDougald Gym. The Lady Falcons are also undefeated in CIAA play.
