LADY EAGLES' BROWN, WICKER-McCREE EARN CIAA WEEKLY HONORS
HAMPTON, Va. - North Carolina Central University
junior outside hitter Brenda Brown was named the CIAA Volleyball
Player of the Week for August 23-29, the Central Intercollegiate Athletic
Association announced Wednesday.
Brown, a native of Fayetteville, NC, amassed
50 kills, 72 digs and 6 blocks in four contests last week. Brown's best
personal match came against North Greenville on Friday (Aug. 27) when she
collected 16 kills, 22 digs and 2 blocks.
NCCU head coach Ingrid Wicker-McCree
was honored as the CIAA Coach of the Week after guiding her team to a two
win, two loss finish at the Anderson College Tournament in Anderson, SC.
