NCCU WOMEN JUMP TWO SPOTS TO FOURTH IN REGIONAL POLL

INDIANAPOLIS -- North Carolina Central University, currently riding an 11-game win streak, jumped two spots to No. 4 in this week's Division II South Atlantic regional rankings, the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Committee announced Wednesday (Feb. 14).
With an overall record of 17-4 (the NCAA regional ranking system does not count NCCU's loss to Division I Boston College), the Lady Eagles are one of four CIAA programs to be ranked in this week's top 10, with Elizabeth City State at No. 2, Fayetteville State at No. 7 and Shaw at No. 10.
This week's poll includes games played as of Sunday, Feb. 11; therefore, NCCU's come-from-behind win over ECSU on Tuesday night is not reflected in the current ranking.
The regional rankings will be released every Wednesday through March 1.
