NCCU MEN PLACE THIRD AT WINGATE CROSS COUNTRY INVITATIONAL

WINGATE, NC - North Carolina Central University placed third in the men's 10k event at the Wingate University Cross Country Invitational in Wingate, NC, host of the 2004 NCAA Division II Southeast Regional Championships in November.

In a preview of the regional meet, NCCU junior Jean-Pierre Joubert placed 12th in a time of 35:18 to lead the Eagles to a third place finish behind Saint Andrews and winner Clayton State. NCCU sophomore Eric Speers ran close behind to place 14th with a time of 35:36.
