NCCU SWEEPS EAGLE CROSS COUNTRY CLASSIC
DURHAM, NC - North Carolina Central University swept
both women's and men's events at the NCCU Eagle Cross Country Classic at
Forest Hills Park in Durham, N.C. on Saturday.
The NCCU women posted the top four finishers, topped
by Desinia Johnson with a winning time of 21 minutes, 32.42 seconds on
the 3.1-mile course.
In the men's race, NCCU's Gerald Jones placed third
with a time of 26:29.51 on the 5-mile course to pace the victorious Eagles.
Shaw placed second and St. Paul's third in both
events.
