NC Maximum Exposure is an avenue for models, dancers, producers, artists, comedians and hosts to showcase their talent and network with other industry professionals in the area.
This event also creates a social environment.
Each night features a beat battle, a dance battle and a song battle.
In the beat battle, producers compete for a cash prize and a producer-of-the-week interview with radio show DJs at WXDU.
The song battle is an effort to discover and promote the best original songs in North Carolina.
Winners of the song battle receive a cash prize, interviews with area DJs, radio spins and mixtape placement.
The prize for each battle is $150.
Aside from money, each contestant performs in front of industry professionals such as radio and mixtape DJs, producers, signed artists and others.
NC Maximum Exposure was put together by former N.C. Central University student Brandon “Broadway” Robinson and local artist Cashus Clay.
The event takes place every Wednesday night at Rumba 54, a local nightclub.
Robinson said the event unites music industry professionals in North Carolina. “I want to make North Carolina the new hot spot so we don’t have to go to Atlanta to break our music,” he said.
Each week there will be new performers, new DJs and new hosts.
“Maximum Exposure is a chance for people to explore their talents, their gifts and get their dreams right here in North Carolina” said Shaun Henderson, host of the first Maximum Exposure event.
Performers and anyone looking for more information on the event should look up NC Maximum Exposure on www.facebook.com.
The showcase takes place every wednesday.
