Rick Ross

Rick Ross “The Boss” is back with his sophomore album, Trilla. I must say this album is a banga, taking the listener on a first-class trip South, with palm trees and the coolest breeze. The album has already hit #1 on the Billboard 200 charts smashin 198,000 in the first week. Although it’s the usual Rick Ross lyrics that many of us can’t relate to – gangsta life in the drug game, Maybachs, women and the numerous zeros in his bank account – the album still hits that spot that makes everybody just sit back and lean. Trilla features hit artist Lil’ Wayne, Mannie Fresh, Young Jeezy, Miami’s own Trick Daddy, R&B sensation Trey Songz and the King of all Jay-Z. Ross takes it a step further in the game with laid-back tracks such as “Luxury Tax,” “Maybach Music” and “Here I Am,” featuring Nelly and R&B artist Avery Storm. The album also holds many future club bangers like “Reppin’ my City” and “Money Make Me Come” featuring newcomer EbonyLove. “The Boss,” featuring Florida running mate T-Pain, is riding smooth on the top ten list of Billboard’s Hot Rap tracks. There’s not one track on this album that you will skip. I have to give this album 4 out of 5 mics. It’s diverse, knocks subs hard and takes you back to the port of Miami all over again. To be loved, to be loved, oh what a feeling! This album is really to be loved!
