It’s spring 2008 on the campus of N.C. Central University and it’s almost time to pack up the heavy coats and break out the open-toe shoes.
With our random spurts of 70-degree weather and much-needed rainfall, students are more than ready to explore the new fashion trends of 2008.
Trying to figure out which pieces you will donate to Goodwill and which ones are still in style this season should be the first thing you do before you revamp your wardrobe.
After researching the latest trends for spring and summer ‘08, I’ve come up with simple style ideas for those looking to keep up with the major designers.
A nice, simple and warm trend for the spring is khakis.
Khakis are a simple piece that can be added to any wardrobe for a sophisticated look and appeal.
They not only brighten up your look but the color complements all skin tones.

There are a variety of khaki colors and styles, so feel free to go crazy with whatever comes to mind.
Ladies, it’s time to show some legs this spring.
And I do mean some. Throw away those micro-mini skirts, because this season, less is more.
This spring is about showing off women’s legs with knee-length skirts and dresses.
Beautiful, vibrant floral prints allow ladies to have the classic look of the 50s, but with a fashion and flair that will turn heads on the yard!
So when you’re out shopping for that fresh spring look, remember to look for soft, neutral colors, pieces that you can mix and match, and clothing that will allow free movement in a variety of weather conditions this spring.
Be yourself and keep it sassy!
