This house at 405 Formosa Street is one of the 29 properties affected by the N.C. Central University’s expansion plans.
The neighborhood, along with Old Hillside High School, will be leveled and cleared to make room for two dormitories and a science complex.

University hires new provost
The University of North Carolina Board of Governors has approved the appointment of Dr. Lucy J. Reuben as provost and vice chancellor for Academic Affairs at North Carolina Central University.

Cafeteria closing in early 2003
When N.C. Central students return from winter break, they may be dining in trailers.
This is due to the renovation of W.G. Pearson Cafeteria, which is expected to begin in December.

Decal deal: Stick it or ticket
Presently, the ticketing department has a waiting list for students who didn’t meet the campus deadline.
In the meantime, many campus drivers waiting for decals are receiving tickets they will have to pay before they can graduate.
