    BBRI gets landmark award

    NCCU receives $9 million in grants to support the Julius L. Chambers Biomedical-Biotechnology Research Institute, the largest single research grant that NCCU has ever received. The grant will be funded over a five-year period. [Go to article]

    ‘Natural born teacher’ named English chair
    Dr. Louise C. Maynor has taken on a new title as the chair of the English Department at N.C. Central University, effective July 1, 2002. The faculty and staff of the department voted on the new chair and Maynor was the unanimous choice. [Go to article]


    Kiplinger report wrong
    “Kiplinger’s Personal Finance” magazine has notified N.C. Central University that the magazine made a mistake in ranking NCCU in its top 100 list. NCCU failed to qualify because of low SAT scores. [Go to article]
