After months of searching and reviewing 78 candidates, the UNC Board of Governors elected James Ammons to be the next chancellor of N.C. Central University Feb. 9.

Jackson, Jenkins, Boozer elected
In a race closer than the recent United States presidential election, Stephanie Jackson narrowly defeated Leroy Wray by 14 votes to win the N.C. Central SGA presidency. Other winners included Kevin Jenkins for SGA vice president and Paula Boozer as Miss NCCU.
