  • Ice covered falling trees and power lines, cutting power to NCCU.
    The NCCU community got an unexpected vacation Dec. 5 when an ice storm struck the Triangle area, knocking out power campus-wide. NCCU junior Joelena Woodruff was one of the many students on campus who endured cold temperatures while waiting for power to come back on.
