The Saint Paul’s Tigers stunned a crowd of Eagle fans with a buzzer beating three-pointer to win 63-60 at McLendon-McDougald gym on Feb. 21. The loss was devastating for NCCU who led practically the whole game until the very end. [click to read]


Lady Eagles go two seasons without home loss

The N.C. Central Lady Eagles knew winning their last home game was important and they did not disappoint the home capacity crowd. They used a smothering defense to defeat the Saint Paul’s Tigers 69-52 on February 21 at McLendon-McDougald gym. The win helped the Eagles extend their home winning streak to 24 games. Eagles smell upset

With the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association Tournament now at hand, the focus of N.C. Central men’s team is the big prize: the CIAA Championship. The first step was taken Wednesday with a 62-55 win over Virginia State. Tonight they face the very talented Shaw Bears. [click to read]

Ladies put on game face

The N.C. Central Lady Eagle basketball team is the favorite to win it all. Everything - The CIAA and possibly the NCAA Division II. Point blank. They are the CIAA Regular Season Champions for the second year in-a-row and they have been a perfect 24-0 the last two seasons at home at McLendon-McDougald Gymnasium. [click to read]
