    'Empy Bowls,' full plates
    Twenty-eight students from different ceramics classes are creating clay bowls to be donated in a silent auction held in St. Philip’s church on Apr. 27. For many students, this marks the first time that their craftsmanship and quality of work will be evaluated and purchased, hopefully at high prices. [Go to article]


    Ammons to be installed
    N.C. Central University Chancellor James H. Ammons will be installed Saturday, April 6 at the McLendon-McDougald Gymnasium at 10 a.m. The official installation comes at the end of an entire week of events celebrating NCCU’s new chancellor.

    UNC may hike tuition
    The UNC system's Board of Governors approved tuition increases for all schools in the North Carolina system on March 6. If it's approved by the legislature, the increase will go into effect this fall. [Go to article]
