| GENERAL
ADMISSION REGULATIONS
In accepting admission to any area of the University,
the student indicates his willingness to subscribe
to the rules and regulations herein stated and
further explained in the student handbook. The
University reserves the right and matriculation
by the student is a concession of this right,
to effect at any time the withdrawal of any student
who does not maintain the required standard of
scholarship, or whose remaining in the University
would endanger his own health, or the health of
others, or whose conduct at any time is not satisfactory
to the University, or whose presence tends to
lower the moral tone of the University, or whose
conduct is unbecoming that of a North Carolina
Central University student.
The overall responsibility for student conduct
lies with the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs.
The administration of discipline is under the
general supervision of the staff of the Student
Personnel Services and appointed committees. The
immediate supervision of the students and the
administration of discipline are entrusted to
the Directors of Student Life and their staffs.
ADMISSION FOR VISITING
STUDENTS
The NCCU Summer School is open to all students
who are enrolled in degree or non-degree programs,
to high school graduates and graduates enrolled
at other institutions, and to individuals interested
in courses for personal enrichment or professional
advancement. Students will be admitted to the
Summer Sessions until 7:00PM on the first day
of registration. Students seeking a degree or
readmission must go to the Office of Undergraduate
or Graduate Admissions offices. Visiting students
must complete the applications (see Applications),
Parts I, II and III.
NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE
Visiting students will be notified of acceptance
immediately following the receipt of all applications
and approvals. Final action on applications cannot
be processed until all materials are received.
Applicants will be notified of their PIN (personal
identification number) in their acceptance letter.
READMIT OR STUDENTS
SEEKING ADMISSION
Students previously enrolled at NCCU, but did
not attend Spring 2007, must apply for readmission
through either the Undergraduate or Graduate Admissions
offices. Following acceptance, readmit students
must receive academic advisement with their respective
advisors. If an advisor has not been assigned,
advisement is is conducted through the Student
Academic Advising Center, Alexander-Dunn Building
for undeclared majors. Students who have been
readmitted resulting from academic difficulties,
or who could be suspended academically at the
end of the summer sessions, must see Dr. Moss
(Academic Advising) for advice located in the
Alexander-Dunn Building. All new students entering
NCCU for the first time must be admitted through
the respective admission offices. If you are a
new or readmit student, you must be cleared with
the Student Health Services before you will be
allowed to complete registration.
