GETTING STARTED

Welcome to North Carolina Central University!  Here are the basic steps to get you started using ITS on NCCU's campus.

1. Get Your Username & Password – You will need your username and password to gain access to the following: your email, the internet from dormitories and computer labs, computers assigned to faculty and staff, and library resources (off-campus only).

2. Get the Right Computer –  Before purchasing a computer, check out NCCU's system requirements and get recommendations for hardware and software.

3. Secure Your Computer –  Get information on computer viruses and find out how to keep your computer protected against viruses and other security threats.

4. Get Connected on Campus (Students Only) –  Find out how to connect your personal computer to the internet via NCCU's on-campus network.

5. Get Your Email –  Once you've got your username and password, you can access your NCCU email account.

6. Campus Labs –   Find out where campus labs are, when they're opened and what types of computers and software are available at each lab.

7. Phone and Cable –  Find out about the telephone and cable services (Students only) available at NCCU.

8 Where Can I Get Help? –  Our Eagle Technical Assistance Center can assist you with computer repairs and answer your technical questions.
