The School of Law begins accepting on-line applications October 1st . Application materials submitted prior to October 1st will be returned to the sender. A social security number is not required, but is required if you intend on applying for financial assistance. If you do not submit a social security number, we will use your LSAC account number as your identifier. Therefore, please include it on your application for Admission in the space provided. All applicants must apply using the on-line Application for Admission. An online application for Admission that is submitted omitting answers to all required questions will not be processed and consequently, denied as incomplete.
After initial submission of the Application for Admission, applicants have a continuing obligation to submit updated application information or other supplemental information that may have bearing on the admission decision, the accuracy of the application file, the ability to continue law school studies, or on the applicant's eligibility to take the bar examination upon graduation. All materials submitted with the Application for Admission become property of the School of Law and cannot be returned.
An applicant to the School of Law may apply to the Day Program only, the Evening Program only, or to both the Day and Evening Programs on the same Application for Admission and one $40.00 non-refundable, non-waivable application fee. Applicants are encouraged to read the admissions information for each program and to select the program that best meets their objectives. Switching programs after submission of the initial application is not permitted. Applicants who submit their Applications for Admission without indicating the program(s) for which they intend to apply will automatically be considered for the Day Program only.
Re-Admitted Students who have previously attended NCCU School of Law and have not received their degree should follow te re-admission procedure outlined in the law school's Student Handbook .
Applicants must satisfy the application requirements for each type of applicant. Applicants may apply to the School of Law as a First Time Applicant , Re-Applicant , Transfer Student, Visiting Student or a Re-Admitted Student . Click on the applicant types listed above for the various admission requirements. Only completed applicant files are reviewed by the Admissions Committee. The requirements for a completed application file are the following:
Graduate with baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university by the time orientation begins in the fall (accredited colleges or universities are available at http://www.chea.org/ ); AND
A current, completed LSDAS report that includes all post secondary educational institutions attended (except foreign-educated applicants), an LSAT Score, a writing sample, and two written recommendations submitted through LSAC's recommendation service; AND

Foreign-Educated Applicants
Applicants who attended foreign institutions must have their academic credentials evaluated for baccalaureate equivalency and assessment of grade point average. Applicants who submit foreign transcripts must pay for the costs associated with having their foreign transcripts translated and/or evaluated by the World Education Service, Inc. (WES). The results must be sent directly to the Law School by the the World Education Service, Inc. (WES).
Foreign-Born Applicants
An offer of admission from the Law School to a foreign-born applicant is conditioned upon verification that, as an incoming foreign-born student, you are eligible to enroll in school.
