A student from another ABA-approved law school may be granted visiting student status to attend classes at the School of Law for an academic term or year. A visiting student will be ineligible to receive a degree from NCCU School of Law.

Visiting students are admitted as space allows. In addition to the application materials required of all applicants, a visiting student must submit the following items in order to be considered for admission:

  • A letter of good standing from the current law school, stating that you have permission to visit and the conditions under which you will receive credit for the courses taken at NCCU School of Law; AND
  • A statement of the reason for the proposed visiting status; AND
  • An official transcript of all law school coursework.

The deadline for submitting the on-line Application for Admission is March 31st. The deadline for submitting the letter of good standing and law school transcripts, is June 30th. The Admissions Committee will not review the application file until the School of Law receives the law school transcripts and letter of good standing, and after all other admission decisions have been made. Decisions regarding visiting student applications are generally mailed in July.
