Certificate Application Process

The Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Law Institute encourages law students to pursue the Certificate in Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Law. Students are responsible for assembling and submitting, in one envelope, all the elements of the application package.  It is our recommendation that before submitting your completed application, you make a photocopy for your own records.

Admission Deadlines
Acceptance to the certificate program occurs on a rolling basis. Students must submit their application prior to the graduating semester in order to receive the certificate. Early submissions are encouraged. It is suggested that students apply to the certificate program during the fall semester of the 2L year if at least one of the course requirements is being fulfilled during the first semester.

Recommendations
Applicants should submit letters of recommendation from former law school professors.  Recommendations should be solicited from two professors who can comment meaningfully on your performance in an academic or professional setting.  The recommendation forms with the proper return envelopes should be sent to the people who are to provide references.  These individuals should be instructed to complete the form, seal it in the enclosed envelope, sign across the seal, and return it to you.  Please submit recommendations unopened with your application.

Resume
Please submit a resume that describes both educational and work experience.
