Linda Fowler Sims - Associate Dean for Student Services
B.A., University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan; J.D. Vanderbilt University School of Law, Nashville, TN.

Linda Fowler Sims was born in Westland, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit, Michigan.  She attended college at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan where she majored in Elementary Education.  After teaching kindergarten immediately following graduation she attended Vanderbilt University School of Law in Nashville, TN.  She received her law degree in 1990 and returned to Michigan to accept a judicial clerkship for the Honorable Judge Anna Diggs Taylor, United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan in Detroit, Michigan from 1990 - 1992. 

Upon completion of her clerkship she accepted a position at the University of Michigan Law School in the offices of student services and admissions.  She left the University of Michigan to begin working at Wayne State University Law School in Detroit, Michigan as the Assistant Dean for Recruitment and Admissions.  During her 14 years in student services and admissions she sat on several boards and panels through her participation with the activities of the Law School Admission Council, the Council on Legal Education Opportunity, and the Midwest Association for Pre-law Advisors.  She is the immediate past Vice-President of the Midwest Alliance for Law School Advisors.  She has sat on several national, state and local panels for law school administrators.  She is licensed to practice law with the State of Bar of Michigan.      

She is married to Attorney Keith Sims and has two sons, Keith and Drew Sims.  Her interests include listening to music of all genres, reading, watching television and spending time with her family.
