Reference and Research Services: Reference assistance is available from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays. There are six professional librarians to assist students and faculty in the location of information and efficient use of print and electronic resources. The Library staff does not give legal advice or interpret the content of legal information.
Instructional Services and Materials: Instructional Services and Materials: The Library staff prepares annotated bibliographies and research guides. They are also available to conduct guest lectures on research tools available in specialized areas of law and/or provide library tours.
Ask a Law Librarian The Law Library's Ask a Law Librarian service provides reference services via email. Please note that by law the librarians are not permitted to give legal advice. In addition, many questions require detailed research in the library and are not within the scope of this service.
Ask a Law Librarian is checked each morning, Monday through Friday, excluding weekends, holidays, and vacation periods. You may expect a reply to your question within 24 hours of the time a librarian receives it. More rapid service may be obtained by calling the reference desk at 919-530-6715.
