The Government Documents Center which is located on the second floor houses the library's collection of federal and state publications.
A wide range of subjects including business, education, criminal justice, health and related fields, history, political science, and consumer issues are covered. Current world events and statistical data are the recognized strengths of the collection.
Government publications are not listed in the online public catalog. Other resources for locating government documents is the Catalog of U.S. Publications and MARCIVEWeb DOCS site. More information on government documents can be found at our Government Information. You can link this web page from the Shepard Library under Other Resources. We have 2 workstations for students use with DVD capability. Please feel free to visit our department during the hours listed below.
The Center is open Monday-Thursday, 8:00 a.m to 1:00 a.m., Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., closed on weekends. For use of materials at other times, contact the Center’s staff by telephone at (919) 53-7307 or e-mail to the Head Government Documents Librarian .
