Making Beautiful Music Together

Artist-in-Residence and NCCU alumna Elvira Green 62 has spent more than 40 years on the worldwide operatic, concert and musical theater stages. Recently named president of the North Carolina chapter of the National Association of Negro Musicians (NANM), Green has a commitment to music that matches her commitment to her students.

“To know that I am sharing all of my life experiences at my alma mater is a privilege,” Green said. “It all started right here and I am bringing it back here. That gives me extreme joy.”

Anderson Inducted Into Hall of Fame

NCCU alumnus Dr. Norman B. Anderson 77 has been named to the 2013 Class of the National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame for his exceptional achievements in science and support of HBCUs. Anderson joins a list of 275 Hall of Famers. The induction ceremony will take place in Atlanta on Sept. 27 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.
