Preparing to Turn the Tassels
The 121st Commencement exercises for North Carolina Central University will take place on Friday, May 10 at 3 p.m. in McDougald–McLendon Gymnasium for graduate and professional students and Saturday, May 11 at 8 a.m. in O’Kelly–Riddick Stadium for undergraduates. Johnny C. Taylor Jr., president and CEO of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, will deliver the address at the commencement ceremony on Friday and Fredricka Whitfield, a news anchor and correspondent for CNN, will deliver the address on Saturday.
New Program Keeps Students on Their Toes
The NCCU Department of Theater has now become the Department of Theater and Dance. This recent change also includes two new degree concentrations: dance teacher education (DTE) and dance performance (DP).
