Value in Summer Internships

Many students at NCCU have participated in internships over the summer.

Donna Nelson, history graduate student with a concentration in European history, did her internship at the University of California Los Angeles with the Summer Humanities Institute.

She mainly participated in research and writing that she later presented to the Institute. “The topic I presented to them was on black participation in World War I,” Nelson said. “Through my internship at UCLA, I have gained experiences that will prepare me for graduate studies.”
