Ex-Justice to Speak at MLK Celebration

North Carolina Central University will celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Thursday, Jan. 17 at 9:45 a.m. in the B.N. Duke Auditorium.  Retired North Carolina Supreme Court Justice Patricia A. Timmons-Goodson will serve as the keynote speaker. This event is free and open to the public.

Meet Recent Graduate Salim McDowell

North Carolina Central University law student Salim McDowell is a man of faith. For the last five years that faith has sustained him through a brush with death, and 12- to 14-hour days of studying. Some would call McDowell a walking miracle, but when he crossed the stage to receive his law degree on Dec. 8, 2012 one word described him: grateful.
