DURHAM, N.C. - North Carolina Central University’s (NCCU) Institute of Homeland Security and Workforce Development will sponsor an Emergency Planning and Preparedness Workshop on Thursday, June 1, from
6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Criminal Justice Building, Room 201.
The workshop is designed to focus on emergency planning and preparation and to provide information for individuals who may not have the ability to evacuate. It will also inform individuals on how to plan for three to five days survival and how to acquire the appropriate necessities to endure a terrorist or natural disaster.
Participants include the Durham Red Cross and Mark Schell with the North Carolina Crime Control and Public Safety. The workshop is free. For more information, call (919) 530-5338.
